Paris Unveiled: A Love Affair with the City of Romance

Paris, France

With my strong passion for romance, it's no secret that my heart belongs to the captivating city of Paris, where each visit, now totaling two, still ignites that familiar flutter in my stomach upon touchdown. Renowned as the City of Love, Paris holds a special place in my heart, and in this guide, I'll share my personal experiences and a comprehensive overview for first-time visitors, whether you're exploring with your partner or embarking on a group adventure.

Best Time to Visit Paris: Given my bias for this city, I'd argue there's never a wrong time to visit. Summer, however, has its own magic, with extended daylight hours creating a delightful atmosphere. My June 2022 visit showcased the sun setting as late as 9:50 pm, providing a sense of elongated days. Although I haven't experienced Paris in the winter, the tales of its holiday season charm make it an enticing time to explore.

Getting To & Around Paris: For those traveling from the United States, Charles de Gaulle Airport is your gateway. Personally, my journey from London involved a scenic Eurostar ride from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord, costing £517.00 for two people in June. The ride was a comfortable 2-hour and 19-minute commute offering serene views.

Navigating Paris is a breeze; while I admit to relying on Uber and walking during my trip, the metro system stands out as the easiest and most affordable mode of transportation. A single metro ticket, priced at €2.10, covers one journey.

Duration of Stay: My Parisian retreat lasted 3 days and 2 nights, a duration I considered sufficient for my second visit. However, the thought of an extra night lingered, making me recommend 4-5 days for first-time travelers to fully immerse in the city's wide range of activities.

Where I Stayed: With an unwavering desire to gaze at the Eiffel Tower from my room, I chose Hôtel La Comtesse Paris Tour Eiffel. Notably, each room in the hotel offers a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, ensuring an unparalleled experience for every guest. Though rooms with such views come at a higher cost, the experience was worth every penny. Impeccable service, a charming room, and a Juliet Balcony offering a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower made my stay unforgettable.
